Children need to be inculcated the habit of reading from a very early age. Books should be given to them at an age when their curiosities are at the peek. At the age of one, a child would be able to flip through pages of a book. By offering him a hard bound cardboard book, his curiosity would take the better of him and he would start to read.

Things You'll Need

A hard cardboard book with big pictures.

Steps

1

PLace the book in from of your child

2

Let him flip the pages of the book on his own.

3

Just as he gets bored of it, try to keep him engaged by flipping through the pages woth sound and actions

Tips

Narrate a story with songs as you help him flip through the pages. Children love to be told that theres much more in the book thatn he actually thinks.

Caution

Dont let him alone with the book , as he's just bound to get bored of it soon.
