sign up to register a new account.Select a user ID and password ( Letters are case sensitive ).
Fill up the details with respect to your personal information
Residential address for  I-Tickt Delivery if required
Submit/Reset
Login with your user id and password.

A page welcomes you with a plan my travel sheet
From:Enter city station  name   To : Enter the detination  station name
Date of Journey :Class of journey; Ticket type :tick eticket : Quota :if Tatkal otherwise ignore
Click find trains : A list of trains plying in that route will be displayed and you can select the one required and submit

Once you submit/enter , it will indicate the availability , rate, scheduled route .
Accordingly check the status and book
A page will be displayed indicating rows and columns for filling details regarding name of the passenger , age , sex and selection of bearth or seat( lower ,upper ,middle)
Once you are done with it
Click on the button for payment
 

Names of different Banks will be displayed , select your bank and go about with  netbanking formalities.
The steps are user friendly , follow the instructions  go with the flow and submit
Your Bank account will display  details of ticket money debited to your account
Follow the instructions  and go for printing the eticket if connected to the printer
Once the ticket is printed , follow the instructions stated on the ticket printed and function accordingly
