How to prevent sleep disorders?

Most sleep disorders are due to unhealthy life style. By unhealthy lifestyle, I mean drinking excessivly, smoking, eating poorly and in some cases lack of exercise and the list goes on. But sleep disorders can be managed by adopting healthy lifestyle and by maintaining a proper routine. A  good sleep is good for good memory. Below are some tips for good sleeping habits.

Steps

Make a routine. Develop a regular schedule for sleep and stick with it. Go to sleep at the same time each night and develpop a habit of waking up at the same time every morning.

Try not to take naps throughout the day.

Adapt a healthy lifestyle. Eat well. Eat good. Drink water regularly.

Avoid caffeine, nicotine and alcohol in the everning or at night. These are stimulants and can hinder your sleep.

Exercise regularly in the evening but not at bedtime.

Avoid taking heavy meals for dinner as it can make you uncomfortable and sleeping more difficult.

Prepare yourself for sleep and make yourself comfortable at bed.

Make sure your bedroom is dark and quiet.

Keep noise down. Turn off your TV, phone, and computer a few hour before going to sleep.

Try not to think much as it can distract you from sleeping.

Follow a routine so that you can relax and for ralxaing yourself you can read a book, take warm bath or listen to soft music etc. Relaxation is exceedingly beneficial for those who are struggling with sleep problems and want to overcome it.
