How to prepare healthy pasta

Pasta is becoming increasingly popular in urban India today, because of the ease of preparation, the wide variety of ingredients it can be made in, and its healthy. Pasta is made of wheat flour and sometimes egg. Tagliatelle is a pasta cut in narrow ribbons and is made of wheat. So let’s prepare tagliatelle with pine nuts and basil. It does not contain any spices, is a quick meal and very healthy.

Things You'll Need

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:

  1. Tagliatelle noodles 75-100 grams
  2. olive oil 3-4 tablespoons
  3. dried basil – ½ tablespoon
  4. fresh basil and pine nuts (chilgoze) – 2-3 tablespoons
  5. salt to taste.

Steps

Boil water in a pan. Put pasta and salt in it. Boil pasta for the time mentioned on the pasta pack, usually 7-8 minutes.

Sieve the pasta and put aside.

Put olive oil in a pan and heat on low flame.

Put pine nuts and dried basil in oil and wait for the nuts to turn a little brown.

Mix the boiled tagliatelle with oil and nuts. Cover the pan and let it sit on low flame for 3 minutes.

Garnish with some finely chopped fresh basil leaves and serve.
