How to make Alu methi curry (potato curry with fenugreek leaves)

Nutritionists suggest that boiled potato is good for health. It is a known fact that fenugreek leaves not only add flavor to the dish but also good for health reasons. It is recommended for diabetics.

Things You'll Need

  1. Potatoes                                      - ½ kg
  2. Fenugreek leaves(big methi)          - 6-8 bunches
  3. Onions                                         - 2
  4. Oil                                               - 8 tsp
  5. Garlic pods (optional)                     - 6-8
  6. Green chilies                                 - 6
  7. Salt, chili powder, turmeric              - to taste

Steps

Peel and cut potatoes into cubes. Wash and chop fenugreek leaves.   chop onions garlic and green chilies

heat oil in a pan and fry chopped onions, garlic and green chilies and fry till they turn light brown

Add chopped potatoes, methi leaves, salt, chil powder and turmeric and cook on low flame.

add enough water. Keep covered stirring occasionally, till potatoes are cooked.
