How to learn hindi
Its always good to learn new languages. Having atleast working knowledge is very helpful.
If you want to have working knowledge, books with phrases in Hindi useful in day to day work. But if you are really interested in learning Hindi, then you need to put in more effort.
Things You'll Need
- English - Hindi Language learning book with alphabets.
- Hindi - Language learning CD (optional)
- Hindi-English dictionary
- note book
- ball pen
Steps
Get the English - Hindi Language learning book. Try to copy the alphabets into your note book.
You must learn to identify the alphabets and read the name plates or sign boards which will add to your vocabulary and interest.
View some Hindi serials on TV and watch Hindi movies if you are not already doing it. Slowly you will understand what is being said.If you make a note of words you are not able to understand and refer to the dictionary, you will add to your vocabulary.
Once you have made some advance in learning, try to translate your thoughts into Hindi ( mentally)
Try to converse with Hindi speaking friends and ask them to suggest if there are any mistakes.
Practice makes you perfect.

- as you progress try to read small storeis in comic books and magazines
- you can take the help of a friend or teacher to guide you through the initial stages.
Caution
don't try to practice with total strangers until you are confident as it may lead to misunderstandings.
