Curry leaves is very essential ingredient for South Indian food. The Botanical name of this plant is Murraya koenigii and in English it is known as Indian curry tree. Curry leaves is also a medicinal plant, it is useful for digestive system, skin problems and diabetic patient. It grows in Malaysia, South Africa and Réunion Island also. It has very strong smell, it adds aroma in your food.
Growing of curry Leaves is very easy. You can grow the plant of curry leaves at outside of your home in a pot or in a kitchen garden but you need sheltered place in summer and you have to provide heated protection for your plant.
If you have some fresh leaves then take some of twigs which are neither floppy or nor very hard and remove most of their lower leaves. Cut the stem cleanly at a joint, and push the cutting a few centimeters into a pot. Established plant need drained place. As the plants grow, keep trimming them regularly to maintain a supply of young leaves for cooking and keep safe them from insects.

I had the same problem...
I had the same problem... there are a lot of gadrens and horticulture run spaces in Delhi where you can get some young plants for free do visit them, if you want to revive the plant you will have to completely dig it out with the tap root in place, fill the new pot with 50 percent mixture of compost and coconut coir, etc etc, importantly keep it in shade and water it twice a day, the pot should have good drainage.
