How to avail Marriage Certificate/Register from Deputy Commissioner (West), Old Middle School Building, Rampura, Delhi-35
Should have these Documents before applying:
Gather All the Documents mentioned above in 9 Steps. Self attest by both Husband and Wife on each sheet except Affidavit. and Also write Gazetted Officer Phone Number from whom you got all the paper attested.
Reach Office by 9:30-945am, before door open @10am
If you have all the paper, the ask your one of the friend for the WITNESS to accompany both of you on the date taken from Online. Make sure witness is NOT in blood relation with either Husband or Wife. Witness should have attended the wedding. He should carry BOTH Election card and Pan Card photo copy self attested along with Originals.
Stand in a line to get your paper check. When paper are checked and approved by administrator sitting in Room No. 2 of Deputy Commissioner (West), Old Middle School Building, Rampura, Delhi-35; He will give you the witness form to fill by Witness and paste your attested Photo (Both Husband and Wife attested photo). Re-submit the papers to administrator. When all the paper are complete, Administrator will generate a copy of marriage certificate (This is just the SAMPLE COPY of how the original will come). Make sure you check EACH WORD in all lines (such as Name of Husband, Wife (after marriage name)and address). Submit all the paper to administrator with confirmations of all the details (Signed by Husband and Wife) and then wait for the Officer to arrive.
Once Officer is arrived (around 11:30am), all(Husband, Wife and Witness) will be called in sequence. Most of the time Witness is being asked questions, else just the name of each person. Assistant will hand over the Signed and Stamped Marriage Certificate by Officer to you. It’s a 2 mins things and then you are married Legally :)
Time totally depends on your no in queue. Normally by 12:30pm-1pm, you will be done
Just be calm and composed and Have lots n lots of patience.
Administrator sometimes, who is checking the paper, ask some other paper, which were not mentioned anywhere. Beware !

Thanks, for the detailed
Thanks, for the detailed information. I have a few questions:
Identification Certificate is for the Gazetted Officer or the Witness? Will this be on a Rs. 10/- Stamp Paper or a normal paper? All the affidavits are to be made on Rs.10/- stamp paper, right?
What other documents apart from PAN Card & Election Card are required for Witness. Do we need an affidavit for them as well? Also, can my Aunt (Mother's Sister) be a witness?
Thanks!
