Every house hold needs a gas connection and to know how to get a gas connection is very important. I am going to let you know what documents you would need to get a new connection and how much would your total expenditure come up to.
After you have located the gas agency nearest to your house, you would need to go visit their office with a proof of your residence and an identity proof. Any government issued document can work as your address/identity proof. Your Passport, your driving license, ration card or even your landline telephone bill should be okay.
Once you have registered with the agency they will allocate a new gas connection booking number, which you will require while following up with the gas agency, if ever the need be.
Getting a new connection should cost you approximately, Rs. 3050/-
To apply for a new gas connection, you do not have to pay any deposit upfront. Booking for a new gas connection is free. In case you are denied of the booking, get in touch with the Customer Service Cell operated by the oil company concerned. The address/phone number of the Customer Service Cell is displayed at all distributer showrooms.

How to get a new LPG Connection
1) Presently, the deposit for 1 cylinder is Rs.1250 and for 1 Regulator Rs.150. Hence, if one wants single cylinder connection Rs.1400 would be the deposit and for a DBC (Double Cylinder Connection) it would be Rs.2650.
2) It's not mandatory for a consumer to buy Gas Stove if they already have one. Normally, the stoves sold at LPG distributorships are of reputed manufacturer's and the fuel efficiency also would be higher. Hence it's better and safe to buy a stove with LPG distributor himself.
3) In case of any persuasion by distributor for buying stove if the consumer doesn't want to buy, he can complain to eityher Customer Service Cell or thew respective LPG Sales Officer and still no action taken, can lodge a web complaint in the respective Oil Co's website.
