So, you think you can lose weight in 5 days. If you do, my answer is yes you certainly can, in grams. Now, come on don't let this demotivate you, simple changes in your day to day life will pile this grams and you will start seeing kilos gone.
Imagine our body to be an inflated balloon; you will have to lose weight gradually. This will allow our body to adapt to the physical changes.
Let’s say you enrol into a weight loss program and loose 10 kilos in a fortnight, the body doesn't know what to do with this huge empty elastic space. Obviously, it will crave for anything to fill the space rapidly and you will end up eating just about anything.
Accept the fact, you can not go slim with a weight loss or diet program. It is fake because, it does not tell you the truth about how these programs manage to kill those kilos. Most of the diet programs involve a common practice, which is to control what and how much you eat. With a little awareness you can do this yourself. This will work miracles as nobody knows your body as you do and you will not only help yourself but also be able to take care of your family. Are you wondering how? then read on..
Discipline your self and respect your decisions, first of all make decisions. This is very handy when it comes to eating habits.
You decide, that you will have breakfast at 8 a.m , morning tea at 10 a.m, lunch at 12 p.m, evening tea at 3 p.m and dinner at 7:30 P.m. Give it your best shot don't eat anything between these intervals . Five short breaks are sufficient to re energise your body and you don't need anything in between these.
What to ideally eat during this break is a more advanced subject, and we will discuss that in my future articles. For now, I will focus on the mighty rules.
What ever you do, don't hurry through your food . Start eating in quality and not quantity. Chew well before swallowing it. Know that it takes about 20 minutes for your brain to receive signals, about your stomach being full/empty. So, these 20 minutes are crucial, slow down as much as you can and you will be surprised, how full you feel and you have only eaten half the amount of what you generally eat. This is good because, you’re inputting the right quantity of food into your body.
Don't eat/drink anything after 9 p.m , the lesser the better. The largest meal of the day should be your lunch and never your dinner. The body simply doesn't need any extra food to go to bed. It is a natural process that will happen after all; meanwhile try to give your body as less task as possible when you are resting.
Imagine a maid in your kitchen, the quicker she finishes with the dishes the sooner she can start tidying the rest of the house, but, if she has to spend all her time cleaning your dirty dishes the rest of the place will obviously lack attention and start messing up. Give your body less food to digest and allow it to do the more important tasks during the night such as healing, cleansing and purifying the blood stream. You will see when you don't interrupt its routine much; you will wake up with more energy, feeling a lot fresher and completely rejuvenated.
Don’t forget to read the rest of the rules, I will soon be posting them . As I mentioned in my introduction, my articles will be in plain English no scary medical jargons. Hope you found it simple to understand, my goal here is to help you realise your body is not a storage place where you can save stuff for later, you must feed and use it immediately else you enter the obesity zone.
Please leave your comments and suggestions , so I can improve my articles.
Eating disorders can lead to severe problems. It is true that one grows obese by eating too much which may lead to heart attack but, eating less/ insufficient nutrition is even more dangerous. It is very important we maintain an equilibrium.

How to Control your urge to eat
Hi Mehru Roshan,
I used to be obese three years back. But I have managed to loose a lot weight. But it took a lot of determination and self control to do it. One thing which helped me to stay focused is a weighing machine. I bought one and kept monitoring my weight every few days. I will have targets to loose x grams every week. As i started to loose weight, I got more and more motivated to control my urge to eat. Your article/tips are great.
cheers
Priya

First of all Thank you for your comment here and welcome to my forum.
hmmm.. Wedding in less than two months. The day when every girl / boy dreams to look 'the perfect'. If I were you, I would not worry much about my physical aspects. It is you that matters not your matrix. If you pose a warmth with your beautiful smile and pleasant manners you will steal everyone's heart.
