Have you bought a lipstick you liked and are having second thoughts after coming home, or a moisturizer which is too greasy?  By following these tips you can solve the dilemma of choosing the product that is right for you.

Steps

1

Consult the sales person in the counter to suggest a suitable shade.Always try any cosmetic product before deciding to buy. Ex. Rubbing a little face powder on your wrist to see whether the shade is matching. Taking a friend along to help you might go a long way.

2

Not sure if a product is right for you?  Try to get a free sample or borrow it from a friend to see if it is suitable for your skin.

3

Try mixing a little of your lipstick with the one you bought and are having second thoughts. You may create a new shade. You can also use the lipstick as bindi.  You can do the same for creating a new shade of face powder.

4

If the moisturizer is too greasy or you are developing a rash on applying to the face, try to use it for the body, as the body skin is not so sensitive as the facial one.

5

If you do not like the perfume, use it as linen spray. The pillows will smell sweet and let you have a good night's sleep.Unused Mascara can be used to touch up salt and pepper hair.

Caution

  • Do not continue to use the cosmetics if you develop rash on the body.
  • Discard the cosmetics whose date has expired, those whose color has changed, or solidified.
  • Do not buy new brand or costly items without trying a sample.
  • It is advisable to avoid offers like buy one and get one free. As the date would expire before you finish one..
