Applying for a Minor's Passport in India
There has been a considerable amount of questions that usually crop in ones mind when applying for a passport in India. The process of applying for a minor's passport is very easy but one must pay adequate attention to all the documents to avoid standing in the long que yet again, the next day.
Steps
Fill in the Application Form - 1
Fill in all the details - paying attention to all fields and avoid supressing and details.
Fill in the Personal Particular Forms x2 and if you have stayed at more than one address in the past 1 year then fill in 2 more personal particular forms the same way. But do change the Reference Of Neighbours in the other 2 forms for the subsequent address.
Attach One Photo ID Proof of Father and Mother
Attach One Annexure - I on a stamp paper
Attach Annexure - H - If parents are not divorced on a plain paper
Attach attested birth certificate copy
Attach 2 Residencial Proof in either Father's or Mother's Name.
Attach Passport Copies of Both Parents - doesn't matter if the address in the parent's passport is different that the present one.
If either of the parent doesn't have a passport - Attach another Affidavit stating that the Mother / Father doesn't have any possession of Passport or has not applied for any.
Attach one school or College ID proof. *Not Necessary Though*
Tips
- Thats it ! Bingo, Pay the required Fees to the passport office and you will get your passport.
However, if someone wants to apply for Tatkaal Service then another Annexure has to be attach which has to be duly signed by a Government Officer of high rank.
