How to make Quick Paneer Bhurji

With sweltering heat and power cuts, milk turns sour and you cannot throw it every time. By turning your spoilt milk into paneer you can make paneer bhurji, a variety curry which can be eaten as a nutritious snack.

Things You'll Need

  • Paneer ( grated cottage cheese)- 30 gms
  • Onion - 1 large
  • Green chillies - 2
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Tomato - 1
  • Capsicum (finely chopped) - 1
  • Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
  • Chilli powder (optional) - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves    (chopped) - 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves ( finely chopped) - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as required

Steps

Heat oil in a pan and after it is hot, add cumin seeds and curry leaves. Now add finely chopped onion and sauté till transparent. add finely chopped capsicum and fry till soft.

Add grated paneer, chopped tomato, salt, turmeric, finely chopped green chilies and red chili powder if required. Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve hot with rotis.

Tips

You can make an attractive Frankie by filling the bhurji in a roti and rolling it.
