How to make Chutney Powder

This Home made Chutney powder if made and kept, can be used with Idlis, Dosas, Rice etc.  It can be used instantly and is also delicious.

Things You'll Need

  1. Urad Dal - 1 cup
  2. Chana dal - 1 cup
  3. Dry coconut powder - 1 1/4 cup
  4. curry leaves - 1 1/4 cup
  5. lemon sized tamarind
  6. salt - less than a quarter cup
  7. hingu the size of a tamarind seed
  8. red chillies - the same quantity equalent to the quantity of the  above ingradient .

Steps

Take a cup of urad dal and a cup of chana dal and roast it till it turns a bit red

Take the dry coconut powder and curry leaves and fry it a little

Fry the Red chillies also.  Now take all the fried ingredients along the others and powder it finely.  Chutney powder is ready and is to be stored well in atight container
